Limited access to Central Park | Sat June 15

Central Park is the staging area for the Sound of Music Parade on Saturday, June 15.

Due to anticipated severe park and laneway congestion, we strongly recommend that you delay your visit to Central Branch until after 1pm.

If you plan to visit Central Branch on Saturday morning, here's what to expect.

  • LIMITED access into Central Park from Drury Lane or New Street between 8 and 10:30am.
  • NO access into the park from Drury Lane from about 10am until after 1pm.
  • Parade volunteers and security personnel will be on hand to direct traffic—but expect long line-ups.
  • Pedestrians and bicyclists have access to and from Central Branch throughout the morning.

Parking

  • Parking will be severely limited on Saturday until around 1pm.
  • Library visitors may park:
    • in the south by the Curling Club, accessible from New Street & Seneca Ave/Teen Tour Way
    • in a few spaces on the east side of Central Branch.
  • NO parking in the north parking lot by the soccer fields.
